Hi, book friends and welcome back to another #AudiobookMonth celebration!! I love June so much, not only because summer is FINALLY here, but because I get to share my love of audiobooks with the world (or my teensy corner of the book blogosphere). Today, I’m going to share a particular favorite of mine – Kiss Me in the Moonlight by Lindzee Armstrong, narrated by the incredibly talented Stacey Glemboski!

This past week, we talked about my love of Melissa Foster’s strong heroes, but today I want to talk about another one of my favorite authors … Lindzee Armstrong. Kiss Me in the Moonlight has clawed its way to the top of my list of favorite books. I’ve already loved everything I’ve read of Lindzee’s so it comes as no surprise that this book has stolen my heart, and refuses to let go. Filled with spies, romance, and beautiful destinations, this book is definitely a must-read!

ABOUT THE BOOK

A history teacher running from heartbreak. The spy who dumped her in an email. One unforgettably dangerous summer in Europe.

Paige’s mysterious and attractive boyfriend just dumped her in an email, and now he’s disappeared without a trace. Desperate to escape the humiliation, she accepts a summer job chaperoning hormonal teenagers on a European tour. She’ll get valuable experience at historical sites to color her doctoral dissertation and hopefully forget all about Nick.

Being a government spy has never been easy, but Nick’s job has finally stolen everything he treasures. He dumped the love of his life for a secret European mission that got his best friend and partner killed. Now he’s certain there’s a rat at the agency – one he’s determined to track down. Even if it means going undercover as a chaperone for high school students on a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

When Nick and Paige realize they’re unwilling coworkers, sparks fly as they reconnect. Paige is determined to get answers. Nick is eager for a second chance. But when the investigation into his partner’s death reveals hidden dangers within the tour, secrets become harder to keep. Can they overcome the lies and learn to trust each other before it’s too late?

#AudiobookMonth Narration – 5 Stars!

Let’s start with the narration. Stacey Glemboski is an incredibly talented narrator and delivers a flawless performance with Kiss Me in the Moonlight. She changed her voice enough (not necessarily through the sound but through the tone and mannerisms) that I was easily able to keep track of who was speaking. I knew Paige as soon as she started speaking, Nick as well. Layla (one of the other tour guides) had a personality all her own, making it simple to pick her out immediately. (I can’t wait to hear more about her story in Kiss Me in the Rain!)

I loved how I was able to speed up or slow down my Audible app without it messing with Stacey’s pacing (unfortunately, not all narrators can accomplish this). Very well done!

About the Narrator – Stacey Glemboski

#audiobookmonth narrator Stacey Glemboski

Stacey loves to narrate books; every one has its own feel and personality. When not working, she likes the woods and the mountains. She enjoys gardeny chores, feeding the horses snacks, and long dog walks with the 14-year-old puppy.

Additionally, Stacey loves to play tennis. She also loves art, dance, and music. It’s so awesome when art does its work and makes one wonder, dream, fantasize, and appreciate its mystery.

Professionally, Stacey is an experienced copy editor, proofreader, and former English teacher. Stacey is adept at understanding complex texts and subtleties of plot and character. Her underground home studio is a 6×6 WhisperRoom sound-resistant booth, and she records in TwistedWave using a Neumann TLM103, PreSonus Audiobox iOne, and a MacBook Air.

Kiss Me in the Moonlight has characters you can connect with!

I loved the characters Lindzee created for Kiss Me in the Moonlight! I thought, after hearing the way he dumped Paige, that Nick was going to be a douche. Thankfully, I was wrong! He shows up for the tour and OH THE SPARKS! Right away, you can tell there’s something major going on between him and Paige.

As for Paige – I really enjoyed her character. Even with everything that Nick put her through with the super lame and cruddy email break-up (really, Nick?), she isn’t a petty person just trying to hurt him back. I mean, yea she wants answers (and who wouldn’t?) but she’s really just trying to move on. I had to give her credit for that.

As for a favorite character …

Layla. Hands down! I ADORED her. Her spunk, her attitude, the way she kind-of takes lead and mothers the group. She was such a perfect friend-match for Paige.

One downfall …

The only negative thing I can say about Kiss Me in the Moonlight was that it ended and now I want more. I loved every minute of it (the characters, the narration, the plot – I mean, come on – SPIES!). I will be reading (and listening to) this over and over again.

Final Answer for Kiss Me in the Moonlight?

If you haven’t picked up a copy of Kiss Me in the Moonlight, I just have to ask – what are you waiting for? Spies, romance, danger … this book really has it all!
