Blog TBR - To Be Read

June 2021 TBR

June 2021 TBR

My June 2021 TBR is small – only 6 books – but for someone in a reading slump, it’s very optimistic. I’m pulling books from my Summer NetGalley Challenge TBR and a few that I’ve been meaning to read for the longest time … but let’s face it – if I finish 2 or 3 of them, I’ll be happy ๐Ÿ™‚

Summer NetGalley Challenge Starts June 1!

2021 Summer NetGalley Challenge Button

The Summer NetGalley Challenge is starting on June 1 so, in order to not completely deviate from my original reading plan, I’m adding a few of those books to my June 2021 TBR.

Grave Consequences Summer NetGalley TBR
Lemonade Code Jarod Pratt
Sword Princess Amaltea Volume 1

Really, let’s be realistic here people. I’ve been in such a major reading slump for the past … I don’t know, six months? … that I’m not going to overload my TBR. I’ve already started the first book in Lisa T. Bergren’s Grand Tour series so I’d like to continue it before I have to go back and re-read to continue. And two graphic novels are easy reading. Sword Princess Amaltea is actually a re-read just so I can write a review of it (bad book blogger!).

The Rest of My June 2021 TBR

40 Before 40 Heir of Fire
Scarlet Marissa Meyer
Genes Mary Ting June 2021 TBR

Yea, that’s it. I’m currently re-listening to Scarlet by Marissa Meyer so that I can review it and Cress (the 3rd book in the Lunar Chronicles series) because again, bad blogger. I’ve also already started Genes by Mary Ting (book 3 in the ISAN series) because I absolutely HAVE TO READ Code (book 4) as soon as I can. Heir of Fire is book 3 in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas (a series I fell in love with last summer) and it’s a tentative addition to my June 2021 TBR. If you’ve seen this book, you’ll know what I mean … the sucker is massive – over 500 pages!

Let’s be realistic. If I finish 2 of these books next month, I’ll be happy as a clam!

What books are you planning to read in June? Are you making a June 2021 TBR or just letting your moody reader self kick in? Let me know in the comments below! As always, thanks for reading ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you enjoy all the books on your June TBR, even if it is just 6, better than none and starting small is a good way to help you get out of a reading slump.

I have a lot of tours coming in June and unfortunately I have had a surprise surgery booked for early June so I am trying to make sure that I add no more books to my June reading list, but manage to keep the blog on track with the planned tours. I hope you find your way out of the reading slump soon.

I wish you the best of luck with your surgery. I definitely know what it’s like to not want to add any more to the pile.

I usually don’t make TBRs, but now that I have a 9-5 job I just might have to.
