After an uber long break, we’re back book lovers! And we’re so excited to get started with 2021’s AtoZ Reading Challenge! It’s going to be full of fun and an amazing year of reading.
>>If you haven’t already joined our Facebook Bookstacked Readers group, be sure to do this before the challenge starts!<<
As with October (was that seriously the last time I made a TBR??), I’ve chosen to do an AtoZ Challenge Hopefuls list. Because we both know that Moody Reader Syndrome will set in around the end of January and I will suddenly be bored with all the books that I couldn’t wait to start reading in December. And I’ll throw the entire list out the window and start all over again. (Reader beware: I’ve already edited this list a couple times since its initial creation #readerproblems).
BUT FOR NOW …
Megan’s 2021 AtoZ Reading Challenge Hopefuls

A – All Laced Up by Erin Fletcher | Goodreads
B – Beach Read by Emily Henry | Goodreads
C – Capital Gaines: Smart Things I Learned Doing Stupid Stuff by Chip Gaines | Goodreads
D – Dancing Through Life: Steps of Courage and Conviction by Candace Cameron Bure | Goodreads
Here is where I deviated just a teensy bit from my TBR Hopefuls … while I absolutely can’t wait to read Candace Cameron Bure’s book, I also really, really, REALLY want to read Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller. I plan to read both in 2021 but haven’t yet decided which will be the official AtoZ entry.
E – Emmie & the Tudor Queen by Natalie Murray | Goodreads
F – Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes | Goodreads
G – Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett | Goodreads
H – Hades’ Daughter by Charlotte Carol | Goodreads

I – I Hate Fairyland, Vol 1: Madly Ever After by Skottie Young | Goodreads
J – Jane and Austen by Stephanie Fowers | Goodreads
K – Kiss of Pride by Sandra Hill | Goodreads
L – Locke & Key Vol 1: Welcome to Lovecraft by Joe Hill | Goodreads
M – Magic Misfits, The by Neil Patrick Harris | Goodreads
N – Nimona by Noelle Stevenson | Goodreads
O – Olivia Twist by Lorie Langdon | Goodreads
P – Paper Princess by Erin Watt | Goodreads
Q – Queen of Extinction by Gwynn White | Goodreads
R – Royal We, The by Heather Cocks & Jessica Morgan | Goodreads
S – Sal & Gabi Break the Universe by Carlos Hernandez | Goodreads
T – Thief’s Daughter, The by Jeff Wheeler | Goodreads

U – Under the Dome by Stephen King | Goodreads
V – Verity by Colleen Hoover | Goodreads
W – BEING ADJUSTED BECAUSE I DIDN’T LOOK CLOSE ENOUGH AT A TITLE! OOPS!
X – Xoe by Sara C. Roethle | Goodreads
Y – Young Elites, The by Marie Lu | Goodreads
Z – Zen for Murder, A by Leighann Dobbs | Goodreads
These are the books I am CURRENTLY planning on reading. I had picked Wendy Darling by Colleen Oakes for W until I looked it up on Goodreads and found out each of the titles of the series starts with an S!
As I am very unlikely to stick to this TBR list, I also have a selection of alternates. Curious to see a few of them? Well, you twisted my arm … here they are!
2021 AtoZ Challenge Alternates
Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
Guinevere Deception, The by Kiersten White
Genes by Mary Ting
>>I started reading Genes in 2020 but went through a major reading slump so I set it aside. I will be re-starting it in 2021 in anticipation of book #4 being released!! Yay!<<
Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Everblaze by Shannon Messenger (this is the 3rd book in the Keeper of the Lost Cities series)
Heir of Fire (TOG #3) by Sarah J. Maas
