Welcome, bookpups🐾! If you’ve joined us for the AtoZ Reading Challenge so far in 2020, you probably recognize the image below. Am I right?
This year has been one of change, seeing the discontinuing of our Ginger Mom & Company brand. We’ve scaled back, focusing more on reading and bookstagram. But we didn’t want to let go of the AtoZ Reading Challenge. It has been with us since our first year of blogging and this year marks the 3rd annual.
From now until December 31, we’re keeping this challenge very laid-back. Unfortunately, we haven’t had too much interest in the read-a-thons so those were the first to be cut. If there’s enough interest, we may host a read-a-thon later in the year but we’re not setting anything in stone right now. And, of course, we’re not getting rid of everything …
Many of our AtoZ-ers have been asking for and enjoying the mini-challenges so we’re going to keep those going 😄 Until now, the Master List of mini-challenges has been extremely difficult to find (even for me! Seriously, why did I do that?). In the interest of simplicity, here they are …
JANUARY – A book you didn’t read from your 2019 TBR
FEBRUARY – A book under 200 pages
MARCH – A book set in a different season
APRIL – A book set in the future/past
MAY – A debut
JUNE – A book with a one-word title
JULY – A retelling
AUGUST – A book written by a female
SEPTEMBER – A book about a book club
OCTOBER – A book about mental illness
NOVEMBER – An “own voices” book
DECEMBER – A book by a new-to-you author
If you haven’t downloaded your AtoZ-opoly board, don’t worry. We’re not getting rid of it. You can download your very own AtoZ-opoly Game Board and Instructions RIGHT HERE and, as of now, we have no plans to shut that link down.
End of the Year Giveaway
As we announced on January 1, there will still be a giveaway at the end of the 2020 AtoZ Reading Challenge. Each book review submitted to the link-up (below) will be entered for a chance to win ONE BOOK OF YOUR CHOOSING ON AMAZON OR BOOK DEPOSITORY, UP TO A $25 USD VALUE. (No purchase necessary to win).
AtoZ Challenge on Social Media
If you’re participating on social media, there are a couple different ways you can join …
That’s all there is 😄 For those who are interested in what Crystal and I are reading for the AtoZ Reading Challenge, I’ll be posting our books in the sidebar as we complete them, as well as updating them in the notes section of our Facebook Page. If you’re looking for book recommendations, you can always check out our Review Archives tab😄
Happy reading, bookpups🐾
